We are always seeking new ideas for automotive digital training products (online courses, digital downloads, or ebooks). If you are proficient with a PC-based diagnostic or information platform contact us to see if we can work together to build an online product around your expertise.
Automotive Assessments For Online Classes (Just Released!)
This online course starts with covering the theory and principles behind developing good assessments. It covers the application of Bloom’s Taxonomy and how to scaffold the sequence of questions to move higher up Bloom’s Taxonomy as the test progresses.
The test generating software, Respondus, is used in the course as a proof of concept on how to efficiently develop test banks. Respondus can publish test banks directly to ANGEL, Blackboard, Desire2Learn, Pearson eCollege, Canvas and Moodle. The Respondus Test Bank Network also includes test banks from 25 automotive publications.
Note that the majority of the course content will be in the form of a screencast. You will see the computer screen and hear the instructor’s narration as the test banks are developed.
PC Skills For Automotive Techs (May 2017)
This course is based on the content of the college textbook “Technology Guide for Today’s Automotive Technician”. The book is retired and is moving to an online course with ample amounts of video and screencasts.
While anyone, can and will, benefit from taking this online course, it was designed to be used as courseware for a college-level class. The online course will support the courseware approach by offering vouchers at wholesale to college bookstores. Training directors for automotive chains will find the voucher-based volume discounting a convenient way to deliver technology training to their workforce.
