The core product of DLP is a book. This book covers basic PC literacy, Internet literacy, and specific applications of digital technology in the automotive service industry.
This book can be used as part of a self-paced study, a college level textbook, or as a reference book.
When published, this book will be available from this site, Amazon, and Ingram Distribution. Industry standard discounts will be available to book stores and volume discounting will also be available to automotive parts stores and tool trucks.
Note that the author is seeking volunteer reviewers for the three main sections of the book. Section 1 in the book covers computer literacy. Section 2 in the book covers Internet literacy. Section 3 in the book covers specific applications of digital technology within the automotive service industry.

Instructor Support Material
The Automotive Technician’s Technology Manual will make an excellent college level textbook; therefore, instructional support material will be developed and made available. The planned instructional support materials are:
Test Question Pool
A test question pool of about 50 questions per chapter will be available in an electronic format. The most likely format will be Examview Pro and a SCORM compliant package.Instructor’s Guide
An instructor’s guide will be available that offers sample lesson plans and additional resources.Online Support Resources
Online resources will be made available to to supplement the instructor. Where possible, these online resources will be made available on a CD/DVD for use when the Internet is not available in the classroom.

Automotive Technology Online Course
An online course based on the Technician Technology Manual will be available. The online course will include additional online teaching resources such as audio, video, and regular live webcasts.
Quantity discounts will be available for automotive companies that wish to offer company-wide technology training. Upon the successful completion of the course a certificate is issued.
Late 2009
Custom Online Training
After the book and online course are published the site admin will offer custom online training. The focus will be on digital technology within the automotive service industry. The online training can be hosted on the DLP site as private or public content. Contact the site admin for additional information.
