Cars and Computers Podcast

The Cars and Computers Podcast is a 20-minute audio show that is produced at least every two weeks.

Each show will cover news and information about the use of digital technology within the automotive service industry and some shows will also include interviews from technicians, educators, and technology vendors.

A schedule of upcoming shows, and their proposed topics, will be listed in the sidebar; therefor, if you see a topic coming up that you have an expertise in, please contact me and lets include you in the show.

You can listen to the MP3 recordings by going to the Podcast Episodes page. The episodes will be listed from the newest to the oldest. Each episode post will include show notes about the show’s content, a download link for the Mp3 file, and a built-in audio player.

Everybody has down time when they could easily consume audio (driving to work, walking the dog, exercising etc). While you can listen to the podcast episodes on your computer with any media player, loading the files onto a portable audio player can turn down time into learning time.

There are many ways you can share and help shape the Cars and Computers Podcast. You can start by commenting on podcast  episodes. Simply register with the DLP site, click on the “Leave a Comment” link (found on each podcast episode) and fire away. Your comments will help drive the show. Also, feel free to send in your ideas for topics to cover and people to interview.

You may participate directly in the show in several ways:

  • You can participate in a scheduled interview. If you are an automotive tech, an automotive educator, or a technology vendor, you are encouraged to participate in an interview. For more information on how this works read the “How To Participate in a Podcast Interview” article.
  • You can get involved in an informal interview. I am available most evenings via Skype or even a regular phone number (this number calls me on Skype, but you use a regular phone). When you see the “I’m Online” icon (located on the home page), I am working in my office and can take a live phone call. When you Skype or call me, I can record the conversation (with your permission) and use the content in a later show.
  • You can call in an leave an audio comment. If you Skype or call me and I am not online, you will be able to leave a message. With your permission, I can include your message in later shows.
  • Special round-table-discussions will also be planned where up to 5 people can participate. These will be announced in advanced and information will be provided on how to participate in them.
